About the Work

Little is known about Hannelore Ziegler. She gained initial experience with cameras in the studio of her father Richard Ziegler. From 1940 to 1942 she trained as a photographer at the Bavarian State School of Photography in Munich. It was in this period that she carried out her Water Experiments, which bear witness to her photographic skill.
