The Imprimatur-Stiftung, Gemeinnützige GmbH Hermann-Hummel-Gesellschaft was founded in 1957. The foundation owns the simple majority of the Frankfurter Societäts-Druckerei GmbH. The foundation supports the universities of Frankfurt and Berlin within the limits of its statutes by means of scholarships to students of modern history, economics and sociology. In addition, the foundation also creates editorial internships and vacancies at technical colleges and master schools for the graphic arts. The foundation also donates a prize for top journalistic achievements. In 1989 it was affiliated with another foundation, the Fazit-Stiftung. 'Landscape near Tivoli' was a gift to the museum by the Imprimatur Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft mbH in 1981.
