About the Acquisition

The gallery owner Herbert Meyer-Ellinger was based in Frankfurt for a long time. Accordingly, he has been close to the Städel Museum as an art dealer for many years. Both through his advice and several benevolent donations, he supports the collection of modern art and contemporary art with lasting effect.
