Executed in the style of Hieronymus Bosch, this grotesque depiction describes busy human doings and a wide variety of hybrid creatures in a wide landscape. The fanciful scene is reminiscent of the Temptation of St Anthony, but in fact the main protagonist is St Christopher. Kneeling at the right, he is identifiable by his considerable size.
