About the Work
Jörg Sasse has been using his rich archive of amateur recordings for almost thirty years. Before a tableau is created, he uses a computer to return the motif to the state of a quickly captured, blurred impression. From such "sketches", large photographs with a painterly effect develop. It's as if the camera had rushed across a street painted by Edward Ruscha.
