Biography

1904-1906 studies classical philology in Munich. 1906-1908 attends the private Moritz Heymann drawing school, Munich. 1908-1911 studies in Hugo von Habermann's class at Munich's Academy. 1911-1913 numerous trips to France. 1913 founding member of Munich's 'New Secession'. 1921 first one-man exhibition at the Galerie Thannhauser, Munich. 1946 founding member of the 'New Group', Munich. 1948-1958 teaches at the Parish Art School, Munich.
