Biography

1908 studies medicine in Freiburg. 1910 moves to Munich. Pupil of Leopold Drum. 1910-1912 Heinrich Knirr's painting school, Munich. 1918-1923 Aibling, in Wilhelm Leible's former atelier. 1923 moves to Munich. First major exhibition in the Galerie Schmidt-Batsch, Munich. 1926 publishes the novel 'Schicksal' (Fate). 1927 member of the 'New Munich Secession'. Longtime collaborator on the journal 'Simplicissimus'. 1953 takes part in the Grosse Münchner Kunstausstellung (Great Munich Art Exhibition).
